Educational, nicely illustrated, but a bit bland
Rating:

Every double page spread of this book has the same pattern of text ("My name is XXX, I like to eat XXX food with my XXX family member. Yum yum my favourite.") So despite the nice illustrations of families eating in different countries of the world, it doesn't really hold my son's interest for long. It's more an educational resource than something engaging to read to him. The final page has a nice illustrated list of the countries shown, but gives the names in English only, which is a shame. Maybe when he's older the repetitive text will make it easy for him to read to himself. Despite not having much enthusiasm for this book, I am glad I bought it as it is nice to show my son that people eat different foods in different countries.
