Colourful, lively illustrations accompany this Somali and English dual-language adaptation of the classic Norwegian folktale of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

This book is a high-quality dual-language picture book with the full text in both English and Somali. It is suitable for bilingual children who are learning and reading Somali and English in parallel, as well as those being introduced to Somali or English as an additional language.

The Somali in this text is not simplified in any way so would be best suited to parents and/or children who already have a reasonable grasp of the Somali language.

I have enjoyed reading this book with my children and it is a book that allows for fun with the words. The pictures are well drawn and well coordinated to the character.
Having the book in also written in Somali allows the children's father to read in his native tongue widening their experiences.
The ending was not satisfactory - I would have preferred a more finite ending
