This is a story about 'real witches' - the ones that absolutely hate all children and are always plotting to get rid of them. A young boy's parent die in a car accident and so he goes to live with his Norwegian grandmother who knows all about witches.
Sacrées Sorcières is intended for native French readers. It would suit a child aged 9+ if they were fluent in French. Otherwise, this would be excellent reading material for older students wanting something a little different, or perhaps for a fluent parent to read to a younger child.
