Berthe - A Series of Primary French Readers

The Berthe books are a series of storybooks in French that have been specially written for primary school children who are beginning to learn to read in French. They are used in schools throughout the country (and indeed, around the world!) but are also excellent for parents wanting to read with and to their children.

Each story follows Berthe, the friendly witch, as she goes about her day. The stories have been written by a teacher with learners in mind, with each book focusing on a different vocabulary topic. All books contain a vocabulary list and two games to play to reinforce new words.
