Overview

Augustus the tiger was sad. He had lost his smile. So he did a HUGE tigery stretch, and set off to find it. He passes shiny insects, birds, mountains, fish and gets caught up in a rainstorm...

A remarkable book which celebrates the beauty of the world.

Enchanting artwork and bilingual text will help introduce young children to a foreign language in a natural and relaxed way.

Guidance for Use

This book is a high-quality dual-language picture book, suitable both for children who are learning and reading Portuguese and English in parallel and those being introduced to Portuguese or English as a second language.

My grandchildren are Portuguese/English, so finding Little Linguist was great. The book itself was greatly appreciated, not just by my grandchildren but also by the whole family, young and old. I am told the illustrations are fantastic! A very happy Granddad!!

Delightful story, beautiful pictures

When I first saw the very arty illustrations in this book I thought my toddler might not find them engaging, but he loves looking at the gorgeous tiger. The story is also lovely, all about a tiger searching for his smile in all sorts of awesome places, with appropriately evocative illustrations (treetops, mountains, oceans, deserts...). A favourite.
