J’apprends à lire avec Sami et Julie is a series of short stories in French, that have been developed for children who are learning to read.
In Tobi est malade, Sami is having fun in the snow with his dog, Tobi. When Tobi becomes ill, all of the family help to look after him - this is a great story about friendship!
This Niveau 1 title is specially written for children at the beginning of CP (age 6 years), who are just starting to read French.
The stories are short, funny and very easy to read and the text is printed in a large font, with the words well-separated from one another and the lines well-spaced. At the back of the book, there is a short quiz to check comprehension and to extend the learning.
Tobi est malade is intended for native French speakers who are learning to read. It would suit a child aged 6+ if they were fluent in French. Otherwise, this would be excellent reading material for primary school students, who are learning to read their first French books.
