Great for students learning English as an additional language (EAL)!
By putting everyday language into music, English! English, by The Language Factory, is a simple and fun resource to use. Children pick up rhythm, rap & rhyme very easily and so the repetitive nature of the songs and raps help children learn the correct pronunciation and intonation. This resource has been designed to encourage children (the younger the better) to learn English with the emphasis on speaking.
Being exceptionally teacher friendly, The Language Factory materials are perfect for use by non-specialist teachers (and parents too!). The topics have been carefully selected as they are relevant to the child’s everyday life. The child will want to talk about them. These topics are centred around a typical British child’s lifestyle to enable different cultures to be compared and contain vocabulary that children use everyday in school and at home.
English! English! was originally developed as a 4-CD and printed book package. English! English! modules offer an alternative way of buying the full resource. The original book has been divided into four modules and each module incorporates an audio CD of the songs, together with a printable full-colour book on CD-Rom.
English! English! Module 2 Audio CD
This audio CD features raps, songs, basic conversation and poems by native speaking children. There are 10 topics, listed below. There are also tracks consisting of backing tracks, music or rhythm only (karaoke style), to enable the listener to sing or rap themselves.
English! English! Module 2 Printable Book
The English! English! book for Module 2 is supplied in a printable format on CD-Rom and is in full colour. It can also be displayed on-screen if you prefer. Each topic features a vocabulary page, where each vocabulary item is illustrated with a picture.
Opposite this is another page where the vocabulary is used in short simple conversations, poems, songs, raps and jokes. There is a CD reference for each song, rap, poem or conversation so that the tracks can be easily located.
It could not be more user friendly! Perfect for the pupil, teacher and the primary or non specialist teacher, or teacher of special needs.
