Stéphane Kiehl
A funny turn-and-twist story about a bat.
Bat sleeps all day on his head and the other animals are very interested in what he's doing. A bear, a cat, a mouse, a dog, a pig and a rabbit visit him in his cave to observe him (or, in the case of the cat, because they want to eat him!). In order to continue reading, children will have to turn this book over and over again to see how each animal sees the bat.
For young learners of Spanish, you could use this story to teach animal names and colours in Spanish, as the illustrations are very bold and simple. It would be a good story to share around Halloween time if you wanted a story that doesn't actually talk about Halloween itself.
Written entirely in Spanish, De cabeza has been developed especially for the very young, with only one simple sentence on each page. It is published in Mexico.
Suggested age range (native Spanish speaker): 2 - 5 years
