Colours in Welsh: Y lliwiau, from the World Languages - Colours series will teach young children how to name different colours in Welsh.
Each double-page spread features a different colour, which is presented with its Welsh name. There are various objects in each colour illustrated with photographs, that are labelled with their Welsh name. Underneath the images, a simple sentence is given in both Welsh and English to describe the image, e.g Mae'r afal yn wyrdd / The apple is green.
At the back of the book, there is a simple dictionary with a pronunciation guide.
Colours in Welsh: Y lliwiau is suitable for young children learning their first Welsh words. The accompanying pronunciation guide will help parents and teachers to use this book with their children, even if they have no previous knowledge of the language.
