Colours in Italian: I Colori, from the World Languages - Colours series will teach young children how to name different colours in Italian.
Each double-page spread features a different colour, which is presented with its Italian name. There are various objects in each colour illustrated with photographs, that are labelled with their Italian name. Underneath the images, a simple sentence is given in both Italian and English to describe the image, e.g Il gatto é nero / The cat is black.
The colours are given with both their masculine and feminine form.
At the back of the book, there is a simple dictionary with a pronunciation guide.
Colours in Italian: I Colori is suitable for young children learning their first Italian words. The accompanying pronunciation guide will help parents and teachers to use this book with their children, even if they have no previous knowledge of the language.
