A first story book for those beginning to learn French, Bonjour Berthe is the first title in the Berthe the Witch series. Meet friendly witch Berthe and her ice-cream loving cat.

The simple French sentences and delightful pencil illustrations will appeal to early readers. There is a simple word-search and board game at the back of the book, together with a French-English word list containing all of the words featured in the story.

All titles in the Berthe series also include a QR code for you to scan and listen to the story read aloud - great for non-specialist teachers!

The French-language text in Bonjour Berthe is simple as it is aimed at young beginners.

The Berthe books are brilliant. Bonjour Berthe is my 2.5 year old's favourite and the simplest too.

U.S. first grade class (immersion French program) loved this and all three Berthe books I purchased. Appropriate-level vocabulary, engaging, with amusing and clear illustrations.

My kids have the first three of these books and love them. The pics are good and the French is about the right level for them. You can enjoy it several times over because of the puzzles at the back. I look forward to the next books in the series.
